Will a Change in Diet Prevent Depression?

Being on antidepressants wasn't helping one woman in particular namely, Kim Goldman, it had quite an effect on her life she was unable to function very well at all. She was unable to get out of bed, and couldn't think properly either.

So what was it that changed everything for her? and consequently turned her life around she puts it down to a book entitled The Mood Cure. The contents encourage you to eat a diet which has plenty of protein in and also recommends the use of supplements.

Kim says she felt better after about two weeks of being on the diet. So to supplement her high protein diet she took the supplements 5htp,Gaba,tyrosene and dlpa.

She had before and after brain scans, the first brain scan that she had showed low levels of serotonin, the brain's happy chemical, whereas after the dietary changes were implemented over a one and half year period of time.

A second brain scan showed no deficiency at all whatsoever.
